We paid into Social Security. It should NOT be taxed! That is OUR money! Unemployment used to be called unemployment insurance. Was the 'insurance' dropped so it could be taxed? People are on unemployment because they need ASSISTANCE. The United States government should be willing to ASSIST Americans.
Why is this important?
Why is Social Security and unemployment taxed? These are programs that Americans rely on when necessary or have paid into all their working lives as a retirement program. We need to uphold the integrity of these programs!
