No to Medical Marijuana Dispensary on 32nd St. and Shea; No to the Swell Farmacy.

Victory! The creator of this petition declared the campaign a success. You can still sign the petition to show support.

I am signing this petition objecting to the application for a Use Permit for the Medical Marijuana dispensary called Swell Farmacy at 32nd and Shea in Phoenix, AZ. The use is simply too close to schools and family-oriented activities. The use is not compatible with the surrounding area, the planned 32nd Street revitalization, over $800k in Federal, State and Local public improvements to date, and requires the highest level of professional measurement in ensuring the site meets the minimum setbacks given the narrow margin.

The dispensary will disrupt the proposed revitalization efforts, discourage further redevelopment, and lead to an erosion in property values.

I respectfully request denial of the application for a Use Permit of the Swell Dispensary.

Why is this important?

As a commercial real estate professional, Vice Chair of the Paradise Valley Village Planning Commission, father of two girls, advocate of the 32nd Street revitalization efforts and avid PMP nature lover, I do not support the proposed dispensary on what is intended to be a main thoroughfare for families on foot, bike and car.

The dispensary will disrupt the proposed revitalization efforts, discourage further redevelopment, and lead to an erosion in property values.
