We need compact, sensible and competitive districts in the State of Indiana. Currently, incumbent legislators pick their voters, rather than voters picking their legislators.
Why is this important?
Indiana has the lowest turnout in the Country - 28% of registered voters voted in 2014. Only 44 of a hundred seats were even contested and out of those only about 7 or 8 were truly competitive. Elections are a farce. When there's nothing at stake people don't vote. Without competition we're left with appointed bureaucrats who answer to no one.
