Norbest: Pardon ALL the turkeys!
Ask the Norbest CEO to stand by the company’s values by cutting ties with all animal abusing farms and shifting to plant-based meats!
Why is this important?
A Norbest turkey is being pardoned in the days before Thanksgiving, but in light of the sickening abuse exposed in a DxE investigation, the company CEO should pardon ALL the turkeys.
Direct Action Everywhere (DxE) recently investigated a Norbest farm in Utah and found sick animals being trampled and eaten alive. One of the largest turkey suppliers in the nation, Norbest touts its practices as “humane, with the health and comfort of the birds of paramount importance.” But DxE’s Open Rescue team found sickening cruelty.
UPDATE: Norbest claims it is suspending operations at the farm DxE investigated, but we need your help to show them that ALL turkey farming is cruel.
DxE found records showing hepatitis in the farm, as well as birds with massive tumors on their faces. Investigators saw live birds being ripped apart to pieces in the crowded, filthy locations and baby birds with their faces and toes cut off.
While investigating the farm, DxE’s open rescue team saw Abby and immediately recognized that she urgently needed medical care - Abby was dragging herself across the farm with a crooked neck. Activists rushed her to receive veterinary care and, today, Abby lives happily at a sanctuary. While Abby is safe from harm, millions of other turkeys are suffering a horrific fate. Sign the petition and ask Norbest to cut ties with all animal-abusing suppliers.
