Not With MY Taxes

Dear Utah Congressional Delegation:

We urge you to oppose any bill that lacks compassion towards immigrant families, any bill that tears families apart, any bill that makes it even harder to legally immigrate here, any bill that doesn’t offer a permanent solution for our Dreamers, unaccompanied minors, asylum seekers, refugees, and ALL TPS holders. The vast majority of Utahns oppose the construction of a border wall and support a permanent solution for Dreamers.

Immigrants have played an integral role in the U.S. economy and culture throughout its entire history. A border wall will unnecessarily threaten the environment and many different communities, producing countless harmful consequences. Vote NO on any bills that give our hard-earned taxpayer dollars to a border wall that ignores the history and realities of our state and country. We must IMMEDIATELY address our immigration system in a rational, humane, and holistic manner.

Why is this important?

As Utahns, we all know at least someone who has been affected by the increased border protections. No one should have to live in fear of their livelihood or LIVES. We must come together to make our voices heard!
