Obama: stay firm on taxes

Democrats in Congress and President Barack Obama, raise tax rates on people earning more than $250,000 annually.

Why is this important?

In 2008, the electorate supported raising taxes on those making more than $250,000. But it didn't happen in Obama's first term, even though Obama in 2008 had taken the risk of telling people that's what he intended to do. Let's not let this opportunity slip through our fingers again. Don't accommodate Republicans and give up the opportunity for which we have fought.
