Obligation to voters Pledge
It has come to light that politicians are being Blackmailed to sign a pledge not to make any new taxes. by right wing corporate hit man Grover Norquist. if they do not sign the pledge or renege on it they are met with a high financed opposition. and are defeated by wealthy back room players whose aim it is; not to pay their fair share.
I pledge I will be paying attention and will not support anyone who has or would sign a third party pledge focused so the wealthy gain even more while the poor, elderly and youth of the nation suffer and the commons struggle to survive.
I do have an ideology i live and function by which works for me. too i know that it might be shared by a candidate but not by my neighbor so i want someone who is intelligent, creative and innovative enough to represent both of us. fairly. This can not be achieved if the representative is not able to do so being pledged to only one type of solution without considering nuance or circumstance. i can not in good conscience vote for any candidate who could be coerced to sign any such pledge.
Taxes are the price of doing business in America. If you are making money pay them to support the system that let you earn it.. As my Representative in the government the only pledge i want made is; the oath of office

Why is this important?
when asking for my support as a candidate for any office I will only vote for a candidate who is interested in finding common ground and working to remedy our problems and defend our constitutional rights. i will not vote for anyone who pledges to put his party or any narrow ideology before the needs of the nation and the people.
