Oil Drilling

Look, we all live a life where electricity is big. I am using electricity now to contact you. That takes energy. Energy can be acquired in so many ways, so why oil? It is not renewable, harms the earth, harms the animals, just so we can sit at a screen. How does that seem right? We are destroying what little beauty we have left, which results in an even more imperfect world. The process of burning oil lets off SO MUCH CO2 emissions, which end up trapping heat in our atmosphere and does things like melt the ice caps, change the climate, and hurt everything we know. I'm only three days from turning fourteen, and as I look around, all I see is people my age using technology. Which uses electricity. I feel very alone in my actions to stop Oil drilling and coal mining in my generation, the generation that will have to deal with the mess big oil companies are creating. We need to stand up and STOP THIS NOW, before it gets way out of control.
We have less than 1% of Carbon Dioxide in our atmosphere, and look what it's doing to our planet! One day, look around, and instead of noticing the beauty of nature, look at how nature has been hurt. Look at how we, the people, have destroyed it. Slowly, inch by inch, we are killing our planet. How long until she's dead?
WE THE PEOPLE, IN ORDER TO FORM A MORE PERFECT NATION, NEED TO PROTECT WHAT KNOW, THE ONLY PLANET WE HAVE, BEFORE WE KILL EVERYTHING ON IT.
