Only those 13 years and older should be allowed to participate in beauty pageants!
Children are too young to make there own decisions. Some children are forced by their parents to join beauty pageants. Children become depressed when they lose the competition. Also a lot of money gets wasted on dresses that you use only once. Beauty pageants take away the children's childhood. Some kids lose confidence when they don't win, which is why only those 13 years and older should participate in beauty pageants! Signing this petition will get the attention of the Maryland governor who will notice the mistake and will soon be fixed!
Why is this important?
Children are learning to just focus on beauty instead of their education. I believe that education is first, so focusing just on your beauty isn't going to take you as far which is why I believe that you should help sign this petition to just let those 13 and older be allowed to participate in beauty pageants!
