Close loopholes for Wall Street and the richest 2% of Americans and cancel sequestration.
Congressional Republicans are taking the economy hostage again-threatening to blow it up and default on America's bills unless vital services for working families are cut. No budget cuts for the services; medicare, medicaid, social security, food stamps, education, etc., instead close loopholes for Wall Street and those that encourage job offshoring, allow corporations to pay NO taxes, enrich the already wealthy and bar the gov from negotiating with drug co's to lower prices. We need a solution that works for seniors, students, working families and small business, etc. Everyone must pay their fair share in order to prevent another recession.
Why is this important?
The people services that is already in place, e.g., social security, medicare, food stamp, etc., should be protected and their should be NO cuts on these programs. I have applied for jobs, still waiting on one, my husband collecting unemployment, we are going by due to getting food stamps, which it helps greatly until our situation gets better. We will be retiring this year, and our health is deteriorating not getting better..we hope to have funds available to be able to retire without having to worry on our circumstances.
