We need to protect the citizens of Oregon by passing legislation for mandatory background checks for every gun transaction. We need to ban assault rifles and large load magazines.
Why is this important?
The citizens of Oregon need to feel safe in all public places. Now is the time to mandate gun safety in our state. We've already experienced and increase in gun related incidents in the Metro area including gang and the shooting at Clackamas Town Center. We do not want to wait for another devastating occurrence before we act. The time is now.
