Although GMOs (genetically modified organisms) have been declared safe by USDA, many independent studies have shown that they cause problems for kidneys, livers, and hearts among other organs. Therefore, the US government should subsidize organic farms more rather than industrial ones which rely on GMO's and other chemicals that only make commodity crops, like corn and soybeans.
