Ler us urge politicians of both parties, newscastsers, public speakers, pundits, guests on telelvson shows, anyone in a positioin to effect public opinion to stop referring to The United States of America as "this country." It is an affectation that has been picked up by all too many people. In these times when there is danger, distrust, enmity, division between just about every group we need to realize that it is "OUR country. Just the repetition of that fact might make citizens realize that this fine country is OUR, ours to share, ours to work for, ours to fight for, ours to be proud of, the greatest country in the world - not 'this" country.
Why is this important?
Let us stop calling OUR country "this country."
