Too many Washingtonians cannot afford the basics, even while they are working. A $13.50/hr statewide minimum wage is a good start. Endorse the Raise Up Washington Initiative and do what's right for your constituents.
Why is this important?
We need to get this initiative on the ballot and for that we need not only signatures, but the support of our local officials. Too many people are working and because of the low wages are still unable to live the life they want. We shouldn't have to make the choice to pay our light bill OR pay our phone bill. We need a raise.
