Out with Privatization
Stop privatizing our public services! Citizens must defend themselves against greedy political insiders as they carve up our city.
Why is this important?
We are losing the battle against private interests as they take over our schools, public transportation systems, parking meters, and just about anything else that private political donors can get their hands on. The truth is, charter schools do not out-perform public schools, the parking meters are a disaster, and the latest--CTA cancels bus routes even as it hands over half a BILLION dollars to some private entity to supposedly make collections faster. Nobody was complaining about the old system.
Enough is enough. This has to stop. Services to citizens are being drastically cut back to make room for greedy corporations who make political donations. Please send a message to our city leaders. Tell them we will not stand for this outrageous practice any longer!
