Outlaw the Death Penalty in the State of Georgia

Demand that capital punishment be abolished in the state of Georgia.

Why is this important?

The death penalty is a system that just does not work. It is expensive to operate, it does not deter crime, and it also creates and endless cycle of misery.

The state of Georgia, like many states in the US, is facing financial problems. The outlawing of capital punishment in the state of Georgia would give the state some financial breathing room, help to clear the backlog of cases in the court system, and could help to fully fund programs that actually help the state.

I urge the governor of Georgia and other lawmakers in the state House and state Senate to outlaw capital punishment in the state of Georgia.
