Elections on computerized voting machines cannot be accurately verified without an auditable voting record. Our voting process is the cornerstone of our democracy. It should not be left to "trust" as accurate and without possibility of fraud. Instead it should be fraud proof and verifiable by the voter when the vote is cast. Please sign this petition urging congress to make it illegal in all 50 states to conduct elections on voting machines that do not print a reciept for the voter to visually confirm and deposit securely at the election site at which they vote. Without a paper trail the winner of any election can not be verified.
Why is this important?
In the US many states are conducting elections with un-auditable voting machines puting our elections in the hands of software with no verification process or means of accurate recounting. US Elections deserve better as the world's model for Democracy.
