Pardon Scott Knight
Scott Knight is a non-violent convicted felon who was sentenced to 25 years in jail, for doing a favor for a friend. Scott was contemplating leaving his life of drug dealing when a friend (I use the term loosely) called asking Scott to get some drugs for him. Scott not realizing it was a setup and wanting to help his friend agreed to get the drugs. Long story short he was convicted under the racist harsh drug laws to a long prison sentence, longer than many violent repeat offenders.
Scott knows what he did was wrong and has spent ten years in prison, repaying his debt to society and accepting responsibility for his crimes. It cost the government money to keep him incarcerated and his life is wasting away.
We are calling on President Obama to pardon Scott Knight prior to leaving office. If you agree that Scott has repaid his debt to society and should be freed please sign my petition.
