Calling on Governor Rauner to use his Executive Order to consider pardons for certain nonviolent drug offenses, given the recent police and prosecutors misconduct. It is also un-American that millions of people in Illinois could be victims of wrongful convictions.
Why is this important?
People should not have to live with a unfair and unjust conviction for their entire life. Wrongful convictions take away the American Dream for millions, and we must reverse this conduct.
