Pass the Child Support Bill
According to state officials, if Idaho's child support rules are not brought into compliance with federal regulations by June 12, families could lose vital child support, totaling $205 million a year, and our state could lose $46 million in federal funding.
Gov. Otter and the Idaho Legislature must get their act together and pass the bill during the special session on May 18.
Gov. Otter and the Idaho Legislature must get their act together and pass the bill during the special session on May 18.
Why is this important?
Idaho families are at risk of losing child support funding after conservatives in the Legislature killed a measure that would have brought the state into compliance with federal rules. Gov. Otter and ID lawmakers must pass the bill before it's too late.
