Vote "Yes" to pass SB714 and provide adoptees with the right to obtain a non-certified copy of their original birth certificate when others named on the certificate are deceased.
Why is this important?
Texas Adoptees are denied their original birth certificates which open the door to their health, genetic and cultural history. SB 714 is a small step towards that information for some adoptees. Senator Donna Campbell, MD, an adoptive mother, has blocked the bill based upon false beliefs and ignores independent facts when presented.
