Pass the Stock Act!
As my U.S. Congressional Representative, I urge you to sponsor and pass the Stock Act so as to provide a level-playing field for the other 99% of investors. Let's work together to strengthen our Nation's economy!
Why is this important?
The Stock Act has been milling around the U.S. Legislature for years collecting dust while waiting for members of Congress to sponsor and promote its passage. The Act is designed to prohibit any member of Congress from investing or divesting in stock based on inside information obtained while working on a committee, having attended other important decision-making meetings, etc. It is illegal for anyone else to buy or sell stock based on inside information, and it should be for Congress as well.
