Pay Congress Hourly and Require Them to Show Up to Work to Be Paid
Stop paying Congress to not work! The real "Takers" in our current situation are all the congressmen who get paid, annually, by taxpayers, to golf, drink wine, and not show up to work in order to prevent a vote. That is not doing the job they've been hired for. We, the people who pay their salaries, deserve the same consideration as any other employers, in that we demand some control over whether our employees (Congress) do the jobs they are paid to do. Stop Congress' pay now!
Why is this important?
Since Congress gets paid regardless of what they do or don't do, and since the Republicans are intent on spending the salaries paid by tax dollars on such nonsense as attempting a 37th repeal of the Affordable Health Care Act rather than working together to move the country forward, they should instead be paid hourly, like most Americans, and not be paid if they do not show up and actually work. Boycotting votes by not showing up to work, would get any other American fired. Why are we, the people, allowing their behavior when we wouldn't allow it of other employees?
