Annual Congressional Pay should be divided by the number of non-weekend and non-holiday work days for the year, to determine their 'per diem' rate. Then, Congresspeople should only receive per diem pay for the actual appropriate days they are in session, during the year.
Why is this important?
Congress takes entirely too many vacation days and accomplishes entirely too little for the pay we citizens provide. This should change.
