Before there are cuts to Social Security and Medicare and Medicaid both houses of Congress and the White House must have their salaries reduced by 15%.
Why is this important?
This is about being fair. The government wants to reduce the entitlement programs for seniors and the poor. I am retired and for as much as I put into these programs while working and can hardly get by on what I receive. If we have to feel the pain then Congress and the White House should show the country that we are all in this together. It is easy to pass the cuts to the most vulnerable in our society and not have skin in the game.
