Pay for Power
Require power companies to pay the market rate per kilowattt hour for energy generated by residents with alternative energy sources, such as solar panels and wind turbines.
Why is this important?
When you generate your own electricity through solar panels or wind turbines, the unused power goes back into the power grid. Most states do not require energy companies to pay for that energy, so the power companies get your energy for free and sell it to other people at full price and full profit. Sign this petition to urge US Congress to pass a national law requiring power companies to pay the market rate for electricity that you generate for them.
