Pennsylvania: Changing Columbus Day to Indigenous Peoples' Day

Christopher Columbus was a savage who did not discover the "New World," but rather exploited it. We need to take a stand against racism and discrimination and institute a holiday that upholds historical dignity and honors and pays tribute to the indigenous people of this country and their painful history.

Why is this important?

I feel the celebration of Columbus Day is an insult to the indigenous people of this country and distorts the true history of the United States.
