Pennsylvania Voter Suppression
Stop airing all misleading ads suggesting that PA voters will be asked for valid photo ID on election day. Even though it says photo ID will be asked for "but not required", the delivery of the ad is sneaky and misleading, and it is very easy to miss the disclaimer.
Why is this important?
The PA Department of State is continuing to run ads on TV and radio saying that voters have "to show it", meaning photo ID, on election day. That requirement has been ruled nullified for this election, but they continue to run these ads, with the only slight change in script: "You will be asked (but not required) to show a valid photo ID". The way it is delivered is underhanded and violates the spirit of the judge's ruling. I am calling on the PA Dept. of State to stop running these ads immediately.
