Permanently ban fracking in the state of NY. There is no "safe" method for preventing the dangerous chemicals used in this procedure from irreparably poisoning our sources of drinking water and no way of affixing responsibility for the damage caused by this process.
Why is this important?
We in Central and Upstate NY depend upon our wells for water. Our communities are rural and so widespread, we have no other water source. Fracking, no matter how "safely" it is done, releases poisonours chemicals into our ground and, then, of course, into our groundwater.
