The Manchan-Toomey Background Test Act, will be introduced for US Senate reconsideration later this summer. Max Baucus can restore his reputation with the majority of current Montana citizens, and his legacy to the future Montana, by voting to pass this legislation.
Why is this important?
Despite polls showing that 79% of Montanans support this bill, Max Baucus voted against it in the Senate this spring. His excuse, as in former years, is to claim that he is voting to protect Montana's traditional outdoors lifestyle-However the majority of Montana Citizens believe that he is merely caving in to the demands of the radicalized National Rifle Association and the gun industry's Shooting Sports Foundation.
