Petition for California to Secede From the United States of America

When, in the course of history, it becomes necessary for a people to assert their natural human rights, it is often that such efforts comes with separation. We, the people of California, feel that our interests are no longer the interests of the United States of America and, therefore, we must part ways with it as our own independent nation state.

Why is this important?

California is so different from the rest of the union and yet we always end up being subject to their whims. It would be better for everyone if we all went our separate ways.
