A group of Raleigh residents are looking to add a community garden at a now vacant Wooten Park located in Northwest Raleigh. This would set a precedent for the city of Raleigh because this would be the first site for a garden in Raleigh.
Why is this important?
This vacant park is one mile from where I live. I'm starting this petition because having a green space added to the park plan would be beneficial to the whole neighborhood. We have a wide variety of people and a large percentage of them are in townhomes or apartments. They don't have access to gardens like they should. This will also be great for the kids. Bringing the community together through sustainable means is always a win!
