Petition for Speed Bumps to Improve Neighborhood Safety. Highland Terrace/ Loch Lomond
Speed bumps or other traffic-calming measures need to be installed in our neighborhood to prevent drivers from speeding and to protect children, pedestrians, and residents. Since our neighborhood has no sidewalks and is only about a street and a half long, drivers should be traveling slowly and cautiously. We need local officials to take action before someone gets hurt or a serious accident occurs.
Why is this important?
Why is it important?
This is important because speeding cars put our children, pedestrians, and residents at risk. Since our neighborhood has no sidewalks, it is especially dangerous when drivers do not slow down around children. Installing speed bumps or other traffic-calming measures could help prevent accidents and make our neighborhood safer for everyone.
Why should other people join you in your campaign for change?
Others should join my campaign because the safety of our children and families affects the entire community. By coming together and speaking up, we can show local officials that this is a serious concern that needs attention. We should not have to wait for someone to get hurt before taking action. Together, we can work toward a safer neighborhood where children and residents can feel more secure.
