Stop "Hostage Annexation." Intimidation and coercion as a method of governance doesn't belong in Oregon or anywhere else in America.
Why is this important?
In a desperate attempt to seize more tax revenue cities are annexing county property to increase their tax base. Lincoln City, Or. is forcing residents of Roads End to consent to annexation by "hostage annexation" i.e. threatening to shut off Roads End residents water off if they don't sign a consent to annex.
