We support allowing live street music, a.k.a. sidewalk entertainers and artists, in our bustling business district.
Why is this important?
Tarrytown village code (Chapter 218-1) states that "No person shall participate in any parade, exhibition or the playing of musical instruments upon the streets of the village unless authorization has first been received by the Board of Trustees." A discussion of the matter has been relegated to a Board of Trustees work session.
My goal here is to have a discussion with the village Board of Trustees to address this issue and show the support of signatures to allow live street music, aka sidewalk entertainers and artists, in our bustling business district.
