Unfortunately, at Bohemia Manor High we share our school resource officer, Deputy Minker, with the middle school. To better ensure your safety and the safety of your children, we are petitioning to hire another resource officer. That way, one officer can focus their attention on the middle school and one on the high school.
Why is this important?
I am starting this petition as a student who is genuinely scared to go to school every day. With the regular school shootings that occur in the United States, I feel as though schools should be doing everything in their power to protect their students, starting with a separate resource officer for the high school.
