Petition to Legislate That People Pay their Own Bills

Today I received a request to sing a petition on the forgiveness of student loans. What a great idea! Go to school, spend more money than you can afford, maybe don't work while attending school and buy expensive computers, I-phones and all what not that I can't pay for. Then take out a loan form the American Citizens (which by the way these loans are from citizens, the government doesn't actually make any money they collect it from citizens) and cry that I can’t or shouldn’t have to pay off the amount I owe. So I thought hey why not also let people not pay off their home loans and why not just start asking your neighbor to pay your utility bills and buy your groceries so you can go out to dinner at a nice restaurant and drive an expensive car.

Well enough is enough…I went to school took out loans and paid them off at threat of imprisonment by the federal government. While paying for my bills we didn’t get to have nice cars, we didn’t eat out, we didn’t get cell phones or pay for cable television or take nice vacations….we didn’t even get to take vacations. It is time for the citizens of America to stand up and say STOP, stop spending money you don’t have and coveting that which you have not earned. We will never again be a country of strength and empowerment if all we are doing is whining about what we want and can’t have. Go out and earn it or wait until you can afford it before you buy it. Stop asking someone else to bail you out of your mistakes and put on your big girl/boy panties and get it done yourself.

Sign this petition if you paid your way and naturally expect others to pay their way as well. Don’t know who I will send it too when it’s filled to the brim but at least we can all feel better knowing we are not alone.
