Petition to remove Gessica Leuschner from Bidwell Elementary Staff

Gessica Leuschner is being allowed to be employed at Bidwell Elementary despite sneaking registered sex offender Sean Green, into her classroom for almost 2 years when she was employed at Columbia Elementary in Redding. She snuck him in through the back of the school, and allowed him to “volunteer” in her classroom as a class helper. She gave the children in her class ”special” time with Mr. Green in the back of her classroom when they were behaving, despite knowing he should not be allowed around children. She deliberately bypassed the security measures held in place to protect students at Columbia Elementary by sneaking him into her class room as well as other school functions for almost 2 years. By doing this, she compromised the safety of all students at Columbia Elementary.
We feel that she is compromising the safety of the students at Bidwell Elementary by being employed with them due to her previous behavior. She knew Mr. Green would not be allowed into the classroom environment because he would not pass his background check due to being a registered sexual predator and still purposely bypassed the security measures to let him around the children who were attending Columbia Elementary. We would like her removed from Bidwell Elementary staff and prohibited from teaching in the district in order to protect our children and keep a sexual offender away our schools. We feel Ms. Leuschner is still a huge risk to our students based on her previous faulty decision making and inability and unwillingness to follow safety protocols set in place by Columbia Elementary. While we agree that Bidwell Elementary has strict volunteer protocols in place, as does the rest of the district, there is nothing stopping Ms. Leuschner from bypassing the safety protocols as she did before at Columbia Elementary. We urge the School Board to please remove her from her teaching position immediately.
