While I support professional development for our teachers, I do not believe that early release every Wedesday is in the best interest of Philomath School District students.
Why is this important?
The Philomath school board voted on the 2012/2013 calendar. There will be early release each Wednesday in addition to 7 Fridays off. This calendar is budget neutral. The purpose is to provide educators with time for professional development.
