Enact a law that would restrict the use of plastic in the food industry, including plastic bottles used for water or any other beverage.
Why is this important?
The issue crosses party lines. Used plastic containers, when exposed to sunlight release poison into our groundwater. There are alternatives to plastic that would create as many jobs as those lost. If we started getting plastic out of the environment, wouldn't that be a positive legacy for which this era might be remembered?
