I just read the bill and it is not perfect but it is a step in the right direction to protect the rights of those who lost protection when the Supreme Court threw it out.
Why is this important?
The Voting Rights Act was so important to so many elderly and to many minority peoples. These people will not be able to vote without the protection of this legislation. Please Mr. Guthrie you can help restore this important bill. Thank you for your time and consideration.
