Refuse to answer citizenship question on census

Stop any citizenship question from taking hold in the 2020 census by pledging now to refuse to answer it.

Why is this important?

A question on citizenship has been proposed for the 2020 census. This is a terrible idea as it discourages non-citizens (legal or not) from participating in the census. And the census affects resources for your state/county/city etc. and re-districting decisions. Everyone should be counted. If enough of us pledge to refuse to answer this question, regardless of citizenship status, then it will show this question to be the worthless & racist question it is.

The online form might require the question to be answered, so we may all have to wait for the paper version. That increased cost alone may influence the decision makers.

Feel free to send this far and wide! Each of us who pledges makes a difference. Ideally, if enough of us pledge BEFORE the census forms go out, the citizenship question will be scrapped.
