Police Misconduct: Stricter Accountability And Changing Law
We the people are tired of Police corruption and their blatant abuse of power and authority over the general population. Police role in society is to "Serve and Protect" but it seems Police role has been to act like they can do no wrong and hurt and harm innocent people to simply inflate their egos and act like they can do as they please without stricter accountability. It appears that Police Officers consistently abuse the concept of "Resisting Arrest" which seems to provide them with a blank check to get away with the use of excessive force against a law abiding citizen. As a result, it takes away the rights of citizens to protect themselves from being physically harmed and violates their God-given right to defend themselves from the corrupt actions of anyone regardless of their job title in society. We need to change the law and rewrite and make an amendment to the term "Resisting Arrest" that better protects the rights of all law-abiding citizens and allows the citizen to physically defend themselves against any corrupt actions of any Law enforcement Officer without the automatic presumption that the citizen is in the wrong. This would suspend the power of any law enforcement officer to immediately arrest, detain and charge a citizen on the spot without a secondary further investigation from a totally independent unbiased source that would fairly evaluate the situation from both points of view and make a temporary determination at that moment to allow the individual to go free or be taken into police custody. If it is determined at that moment that the law enforcement officer was in any way acting unlawfully or in violation of a citizen's rights, then an immediate criminal investigation is to be launched against the law enforcement officer, and during that time the officer is to be put on UNPAID administrative leave. If after the investigation the law enforcement officer is found guilty of any wrongdoing in the court of law, the individual is to be permanently removed indefinitely from ever being employed in any law enforcement agency period. Please sign my petition and let's not live in fear any longer of those who are supposed to be protecting us from criminal behavior.
Why is this important?
To better protect all law abiding citizens from the corrupt actions of Law Enforcement Officers.
