Political Campaigns, Truth on the Airwaves

The American People have the right to know the truth about any and all campaign issues that are advertised on the airwaves. When politicians (local, state and federal) take to the airwaves and lie about their achievements, or lie about their opponents record, these same politicans should be held accountable for their actions by the campaign advertisements being removed from the airwaves, a sever fine and banned from any future campaign airwave advertising. This applies to Super Pacs or organizations advertising for a paticular candidate. To many times people are subjected to a bombardment of campaign airwave lies that eventually become, unfortunately believable to voters. The American People deserve to have a person of dignity, honesty and qualified to do the job with which they are campaigning for. If a candidate has to lie in order to achieve a position of such responsibility, then this is not a person who is fit to hold this job. We need to stop the dishonesty in politics.

Why is this important?

Only campaign advertisements that have been fact checked and found to be truthful should be allowed on the airwaves. Any advertisment that has been run on the airwaves and found to be un-truthful should be removed immediately, a retraction should be aired to the same areas effected stating that the advetisement was false and individual or organization responsible should be heavily fined and banned from any future advertising on the airways. The American people deserve the truth about the politicians and policies that they are voting on.
