Politicians should have to SWEAR, to tell the TRUTH, the whole TRUTH, and nothing but the TRUTH so help them GOD, while they are sworn in office. Men and Women in Authority has to be held ACCOUNTABLE for EVERYTHING they say and do!
Why is this important?
Politicians and every one in Authority should be held at a higher standard. God tells us in His Word to RESPECT those in AUTHORITY, therefore, the need to be held accountable for the lies that they tell. The lies that they tell can often be a life and death situation for someone less fortunate.
