Politics, Religion and Taxes

As the election process progresses I have been running across stories about church leaders telling their parishioners who and what to vote for. Many churches file for a 501(c)(3) tax exemption. If a church has a 501(c)(3) and engages in partisan politics it face the possibility of losing this exemption. I am asking the Federal government, local governments and the IRS to investigate and crack down on churches who have a 501(c)(3) exemption but still chose to publicly and blatantly endorse particular candidates and bills.

Why is this important?

Churches who have a 501(c)(3) tax exemption status but still engage in partisan political activity.
