Please vote against any cuts to Social Security or Medicare. Senior citizens worked for years and paid into a system that promised to be there for their retirements. To now have that taken away in favor of tax breaks for millionaires should not be what this country "for the people" is about.
Why is this important?
As retired public school teachers, my husband and I know personally how much seniors rely on the benefits of Social Security especially after seeing our 403B savings dwindle in recent years. We are already making hard choices everyday such as whether to buy medications or gasoline for visiting our grandchildren in order to balance our budget. We are not the ones who should be asked to sacrifice further due to our government's inability to balance theirs.
