We maintain that the Colonial architectural styles should be maintained in the historical section of Charlestown. We oppose ultra modern residential building on gaslit streets.
Why is this important?
A real estate person seeks to level an historical home and construct a modern edifice not in keeping with the style of the neighborhood. If he is allowed to proceed others can follow and the historical nature of Charlestown would be distorted.
