Set a 2013 date to close Guantanamo. If Congress won't fund a transfer, free the remaining prisoners.
Why is this important?
I have been appalled at the "black hole" of injustice that was created
by Guantanamo. It has gotten worse with the force feeding of the 2/3 of the remaining prisoners on hunger strike. Its existence foments hatred of the United States abroad and is an effective recruitment tool for terrorists.
