A proposal for President Obama to stop paying all members of congress,the senate and their entire staff, as well as benefits, including health insurance,office rent and mailing costs, before any other expenses associated with a "government shutdown" are not paid.
Why is this important?
Several members of congress have stated that they would rather shutdown the government than extend the debt ceiling,with out matching or more spending cuts.
